About this painting…

The aperitivo is an Italian tradition. Like a celebration of togetherness, it serves as a moment to connect with loved ones, bridging the gap between the day’s responsibilities and the evening’s relaxation. It normally consist of a few bites and a drink, often made with Aperol!
It’s not just about the drinks or the snacks but about the people gathered around the table, enjoying the little things of life.
I just love what this tradition represents!!! In this maniac fast-paced world, the aperitivo offers a counterbalance—a ritual of slowing down, reconnecting, and remembering that life’s greatest pleasures are often found in the company of those we hold dear. So important!
Don't worry, you don't have to go to Italy or drink alcohol, I just think that it's so amazing that they kept this tradition and it's a wonderful example of slowing down. We have a lot to learn from that!
