After spending an afternoon on her friends' boat, Stephanie and her boyfriend John join them at one of their favorite restaurants on the Washington DC Pier. She takes a photograph of the meal they share as a memento of this precious moment. She claims that these oysters are one of the best meals she has ever eaten.
The purple of the cutlery and oysters becomes the dominant color in this representation. Bordering on still life, this piece reminds us of the importance of seeking out and sharing life's little pleasures. In recreating this image, I want to highlight the inspiring journey of my friend Stephanie, a doctor working in DC who sees beauty in everything. This painting becomes a reminder for us to stop and take the time.

Hi! I’m Naomi, a self-taught visual artist and content creator based in Québec, Canada.
I rediscovered art in 2020 as a hobby to pass the time during quarantine and then while I was finishing my degree (spoiler : not an art one). After a period of corporate burn-out in 2023, I finally decided to take the leap to create art full-time.
Through my content on social medias and during in-person events, I aim to inspire others to find their creative self and to not take themselves too seriously
